Description

Begin your adventure early in the morning with a thrilling 4X4 safari into the Dhofar Mountains. Your journey starts with a drive through the charming village of Taqa, where a stop at the Taqah Plateau offers a spectacular panoramic view from the cliffs.

Continue to the evergreen Wadi Darbat, perfect for a leisurely stroll along its lush wadi bed, surrounded by grazing camels, goats, and cattle. During the Khareef season (monsoon), you’ll witness a stunning natural waterfall cascading nearly 100 meters, spreading into lakes and vibrant greenery.

The tour then takes you to Tawi Attair, home to one of the world’s largest sinkholes, also known as the “Well of Birds”, where flocks of birds are seen year-round. From here, ascend to the Jebel Samhan plateau, rising to almost 1,700 meters. This spot, often called the ‘Grand Canyon of Dhofar’, offers breathtaking vistas of the east coast on one side and the expansive Qara mountain range on the other.

Enjoy a sumptuous picnic lunch amidst this natural beauty before continuing through the scenic Qara Mountains, passing picturesque Jebali villages and stopping at several stunning viewpoints for photography.

Conclude your journey with a drive back to Salalah by evening.

Finally, we return to the drop-off point, carrying with us the serene spirit and timeless beauty of Salalah.
