Description

Discover the charm of Salalah, the “Garden City” of the south, as we explore its lush landscapes, historic sites, and cultural treasures. From the graceful Shanfari Mosque and the regal Al Husn Palace to lively souks, ancient ruins, and the world-renowned Museum of the Frankincense Land, this tour takes you through the very essence of Salalah.

Our journey begins with a visit to Salalah’s fertile garden farms, dotted with coconut, banana, and papaya plantations along with small vegetable patches. Amid these green landscapes, you’ll also come across the atmospheric ruins of old village homes, offering a glimpse into traditional life of the past.

We continue with a photo stop at the magnificent Shanfari Mosque, admired for its exquisite artwork and stained tiles, followed by a visit to the site of the legendary “Footprint of Prophet Saleh’s Camel,” steeped in local lore.

Next, immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of the Al Husn Souq, where narrow alleyways brim with the scents of frankincense and spices. Here, you’ll find traditional khanjars (daggers), dallahs (coffee pots), perfumes, tribal rugs, antiques, and jewelry—perfect keepsakes to take home.

A leisurely stroll along Salalah’s scenic waterfront corniche then leads us to the Sultan’s summer residence, Al Husn Palace. Though not open to the public, its stunning exterior and palm-fringed setting make for a memorable stop.

The tour concludes at the UNESCO-listed Al Balid Archaeological Site, home to the fascinating Museum of the Frankincense Land, where you’ll uncover the rich maritime and trading history of the region.

Finally, we return to the drop-off point, carrying with us the serene spirit and timeless beauty of Salalah.
